All Access vs. Buying ThorneLabs Templates Individually

Comparing our own bundle against our own products is the easiest article on this site to write dishonestly, so we’ll anchor it to arithmetic instead of adjectives. All Access is US$245, once. The individual list prices it contains sum to just over US$1,000. That gap is real, and it’s also completely irrelevant to you if you only need one template. Both of those things are true, and which one applies to you is the entire question.

The short version: need one thing, buy the one thing. Plausibly need two systems, ever, and All Access is already the cheaper path, because two flagships alone ($145 + $145) cost more than the whole catalogue.

What’s actually in it

All Access contains every paid product we sell: the six operating systems (Musician OS, Record Label OS, Music Manager OS, Publishing & Rights OS, Notion Agent OS, AI Prompt OS), every paid template (Tour 2.0, Tasks, Content, Finances, Merchandise, Catalog, Releases, Songwriting) and the three GPTs. Seventeen paid products at the time of writing, plus the Free Starter Bundle, all with lifetime updates.

One mechanical detail worth knowing, because it’s a promise most bundles don’t make: the contents are derived from the catalog automatically rather than hand-listed. When we ship a new paid product, it joins All Access the same day, and existing owners get it. The bundle you buy grows after you’ve bought it.

The maths, laid out

You needIndividuallyWith All Access
One $35 template$35$245 (don’t)
One flagship OS$145$245 (probably don’t)
One OS + two templates~$215$245 (close call)
Two flagship systems$290$245 (bundle wins)
Everything, over time~$1,012 at list$245

The honest reading of that table: All Access is not for everyone, and the bottom two rows are where it earns its keep. The typical path there is ordinary career growth. You buy Musician OS, then a year later you’re managing another artist or starting a label imprint, and the second system makes the bundle retroactively the thing you should have bought. $245 up front is us pricing that trajectory in.

When to buy individually

Your need is single and specific. A touring template for a touring problem. Tour 2.0 at $60 solves it; a bundle would be $185 of shelf.

You’re testing whether systems work for you at all. Start with the free templates, then maybe one paid one. Skepticism is cheap to satisfy; don’t pay $245 to resolve it.

Budget is genuinely tight. A $35 template that solves this month’s problem beats a bundle that strains this month’s rent. The catalogue isn’t going anywhere, and neither is the upgrade path.

When All Access wins

Any second system is plausible. The arithmetic above; it’s the whole argument and it doesn’t need dressing up.

You wear multiple hats. Artist who manages others, manager starting a label, producer with a publishing question. The systems are built to interlink, and the people who get the most from the catalogue are the ones whose careers refuse to stay in one lane. There’s no single right way to run a music business; this is the option built for not knowing yours yet.

You’d rather decide once. One purchase ends the per-template deliberation forever, including for products that don’t exist yet.

The verdict

We sell both paths, so believe the incentives rather than the prose: we’d genuinely rather you buy a $35 template that fits than a $245 bundle that stings. But the arithmetic has a sharp edge, and it sits at the second system. Below that line, buy individually with our blessing. At or above it, All Access is just the same purchase with fewer invoices and a growing shelf. It’s rated 4.7 from 35 reviews, and it is, confessedly, the thing we’d buy.

Frequently asked questions

What does ThorneLabs All Access include?

Every paid product in the catalog: all six operating systems, every paid template and all three GPTs (17 paid products at the time of writing), plus the Free Starter Bundle. Inclusion is automatic, so anything we release later is added to your library at no extra cost.

When is All Access worth it over a single template?

The break-even is simple: any two flagship systems ($145 + $145) already cost more than All Access at $245. If you only ever need one system or one $35 template, buy it individually. The moment a second system is plausible, the bundle is the cheaper path.

Does All Access include future ThorneLabs products?

Yes. The bundle's contents are derived from the catalog automatically, so a new paid product joins All Access the day it ships, and existing All Access owners get it without paying again.

Is All Access a subscription?

No. It's US$245 once, with lifetime access and lifetime updates. There is nothing recurring anywhere in the ThorneLabs catalog.
